Swans of Lonesome Lake
Swans of Lonesome Lake:  [?] . You might remember a book called "The Caruso of Lonesome Lake" where Ralph Edwards saved the BC Trumpeter swans from extinction from the 1920's to the 1950s. It was almost required reading for our generation in elementry school in the 70s. Edwards cabin burnt down in the BC fires of 2004. [M | C

I just got a new computer, and am having trouble with my html.
My the problem is me, not my computer.
I am trying to insert an image onto my cache page.
If I copy and paste an image from another of my caches pages it works, but when I change the picture to the new one I want it won't work.

Anyone have any ideas why the new image won;t work, but an old copy and pasted one will?

I'm confused.

Not sure, but I normally upload my photos into Picasa online and then I can copy & paste the code that is there to insert.

I do know that geocache.com does not like embedded photos that are of certain sizes. Some of mine haven't worked then when I change the size of them to I think 200 or 400 (even 200 spots) it works as long as the photo is at least that big.

so if you've uploaded a photo and the size is at 188 - the embedded photo won't work. or if you use a size of say 388

Not sure if that will help -

<img src="url to img">

if you want to have specific sizes
<img width="pixcels" height="pixcels" src="url to img">

if image is in a hyperlink and you dont want a border (0 pixcels) (or want a border larger):
<img border="pixcels" width="pixcels" height="pixcels" src="url to img">

Can you post the tag here as you copied it? Probably is an extra space or something.

Make sure you wrap it in the code tag (# button on the forum post editor) in the forums, as it is an HTML tag you do not want it translated here.

Or email me the text.

This is what I have:
#<img src="http://img198.imageshack.us/i/chess1d.jpg/" />

I've never had any problems getting it to work before, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Maybe the picture is too big?
It is about 900x1100 pixels.

I tried that before and it didn't work. I just removed it, and it still isn't working.

Is that the actual image you are trying to use? If so, it cannot be found when I try and access the url directly.
