I'm a new resident in Prince George as well as being new to Caching.
I've noticed that there is really only three people actively caching in the PG area. Myself my son and another newbie. When does everyone come out of Hibernation up here and start finding/Hiding caches? it's getting lonely on the trails Crying or Very sad

Even with all the snow up here I've only failed to find about 4 caches that I set out to find since January.

Razz When I was up in PG for the Bare naked Ladies concert Very Happy on Feb.4th. I could'nt help but notice that PG had a LOT more snow than us, even tho we are only 120 miles away in Williams Lake. 100 Mile House, Williams Lake, and Quesnel have a lot of caches for you to discover, so if you are into road trips, come down and and cache, have lunch and see some more of BC.

I plan to expand where I cache but will wait till summer (or Spring break) to come out that way I've only been on hwy 16 between Jasper and Prince George twice one bringing the family up in the minivan and again when I drove my car up both times were dark. I plan to start exploring this province soon

The issue is if you have been caching for a couple of years then you have most of the local caches. When I go to my account page on GC.com I have five left. Three are major hikes, and the rest are Under 3 feet of snow. The closest is 72 kilometers away as the crow flys. Im off to Vancouver the end of April for work and I an excited about caching while I'm down there. For me all the caching is now a major drive to get to new caches.

That's actually one thing I'm getting concerned about with only 107 caches in a 100mile radius and the fact I have 36 finds under my belt I'll probably be going on road trips this summer. enjoying your Place of rest cache. the first part is really beginning to frustrate me, I've been to it three times now and haven't figured it out...... yet.
