Butedale Cannery:  [?] . Abandoned in the 1950s, folklore surrounds Butedale as its ghostly lights burned into the night for twenty-five years until the hydro generator was finally turned off in the late 1970s. [M | C

Several of you local cachers have been asking about my annual Geo-Halloween event this year so you could book it into your schedule. I've just put the website for the event online at http://geozombierun.com -- you can check out all the details and register now for the event. As in past years, there will be many more folks that want to attend than the event location can hold, so the event won't be published on geocaching.com until mid-October. This will give those of you that want to attend priority over the available spots by pre-registering on the website. This is my tenth annual one of these Halloween events, and you won't want to miss all the fun of this milestone event!

There's a very cool bonus for registering early, too! There are 100 Zombie Immunity Dolls hidden throughout BC and Washington state, including Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna and Kamloops. Starting in mid-June, I'll be sending out a daily email to everyone currently registered for the event with the coordinates and location of one of these dolls -- be the first one on scene to grab the doll, bring it to the event, and earn bonus chances to win some great prizes!

Hope to see you there!
