Does anyone know if there are any workshops offered for beginner geocachers? I just started so it would be nice to learn from the pros and also meet a few fellow new cachers.
Lower Mainland area.
Thanks,

Hi Shera - I know over at the mvgeocaching.com qman57 did a post about an Introduction to Geocaching

He says the following

Due to the success of my previous attempt to introduce some newbies to our sport, I have been asked to do it again. We will be offering the Intro to Geocaching at the Community Centred College for the Retired in Burnaby again on September 19 & 26. Many thanks to Catapult Jeff, katcogo and KNL_Caching for the help in making the first one come together.

Anyone who is interested can contact the College - www.cccrburnaby.org

Oh, and by the way, you don't have to be retired.

You can see the post here

www.mvgeocaching.com/page4.html

It's under events, Summer 2014, then Another Intro to Geocaching Course

Also, I see you are at meetup & in MayaBees new group - excellent!

I think there are upcoming plans for some beginner caching trips too. I also run another group & Breetay & myself love to cache with other people that are interested in coming with us - I usually post our upcoming adventures in the BC Geocaching Club Meetup group & my meetup group as well.
