Hey folks, The Moss Troopers have rented a Log Cabin for the Island Spirit Mega Event happening this July (GC349MK). The cabin sleeps 8, so we’re looking to share it with either a family of 3-4, or two couples. I know it’s still a few months away, but we wanted to get the word out before people signed up for camping or booked hotels.

The cabin is very rustic, no electricity or indoor plumbing, but it is a big step up from the ‘dry camping’ offered on site.

There is a propane lamp to light the main room.
A wood stove for heat (probably won’t be needed)
A propane cook top and BBQ for cooking
Rainwater catchment barrel for dishes and such (We’ll bring in potable water)
A new outhouse was built just last summer
Only 15 minutes drive from the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds where the event will take place
Right on the Cowichan River

No smokers please (cabin rules)
No pets (One of the Moss Troopers has allergies)
The Moss Troopers plan to spend quiet time relaxing at the cabin when not at the event or out caching. We’re looking for folks interested in the same.

Please contact Tracy by way of the Moss Troopers geocaching.com profile if you’re interested.
