This might have been covered before but I can't locate any reference to it.

I have often seen cache logs where the finder talks (brags?) about having found 5, 6, or even 7 different types of cache in a day. Are there caches out there (I hate to use the word "challenge") where you need many different types of find to be able to submit your log?

I've heard about the 365-day caches, and other fill-the-matrix caches.

And while I have your attention Beanie , what's up with the "find a cache on its birthdate" concept? I can't recall ever seeing that requirement on a cache page.

GC29YBF is one that many of us were able to grab after the GW in Carnation. Haven't heard of any here. A few of us at the Best of the Bad mega were able to get 10 icons in one day! The only one we missed was a webcam, the closest was in Calgary...

There are a number of challenges that require different cache types in one day. I'm not sure if there are any in BC. For the one mentioned by Goalie Girl you can only use Washington State caches. It is possible to complete this in Bellingham, especially if you hit up Whatcom Falls Park. I tried to qualify when I went to the Block Party but eventually thought it was impossible. Then, after some other unscheduled caching and an unexpected 2nd event I ended up with 6 icons without realizing it, just missing one. Oh well.

The other local (Lower Mainland) icon challenge is of course www.geocaching.com/see...ba1fbb0797 where you can spread it over a month

For finding caches on their birthday, refer to www.geocaching.com/see...b44d31df7c

There are various bookmarks lists, especially for the US ones, look at the listings on the cache pages.
