Right now Canadian Tire has the Magellan Explorist GC on sale for $149. I have never been a big magellan fan, but I do have 3 kids that sometimes come out caching with me. They are always wanting to hold my Colorado or Oregon, which I protect dearly. I picked one up for them to use, and it seems pretty nice for relatively cheap. If anyone is looking for a cheap GPS for their kids to use or just a backup unit, check it out before the sale ends.

I am newish to caching, I have been caching since last June. I wanted a inexpensive way to try out Geocacing so I bought the Explorist GC. I have not really tried any other GPS units but I love this one. It is easy to use, comes with preloaded maps, it's paperless and is really accurate. I have 275 caches with this small unit that fits nicely in my camera bag. One day I may upgrade but for now I don't have any reason to. I would recommend it to anyone starting out. If the price of a unit is holding you back grab this unit and get out there. You will not be disappointed. Razz
