By the looks of it, all the eTrex models on the discontinued list are the old version of the current eTrex line. I checked the Basic Handhelds and Mapping Handhelds sections and all the new eTrex models are still there.

That would truly be unfortunate if they were to totally discontinue the line. I relied on my Venture HC when I first started geocaching as I had no intention of spending the money to get a Colorado or an Oregon at the time. It was an awesome unit and was very affordable for a newbie.
