I've been thinking about trying to organize one in parksville or qualicum. It's pretty easy to set up... Smile
Rumour has it hat TravisL(the person who set up both cachemachines I went to) it planing on one in Nanaimo in 2011... But I think we can do better than that! Gimme a message and we can work on it together.

It's basically an attempt to get 100 caches in 12 hours. Smile
I managaed to get 67 the first time I tried and 43 the second. Smile
It's crazy fun. All the cachers meet together at 6am and the race is on... Smile
You all follow the same route and see how fast and how many you can find.
The current record I know of is 101 caches in 13hrs. Smile

Check out this for more info on what a cache machine is:

dloubert planned an awesome 'mini cache machine' around Comox for a day of caching for he and I, while my son and his friend skied at Mt. Washington.

His map format was almost identical to what Travis did for the CM down here last year and could certainly have been expanded to allow for a longer day/route. I wonder if he saved it?

If you want a corporate sponsor or promotion, we'd be happy to help!

Lightbulb Idea!
Why don't we hold off the cache machine until the blitz, we could then do as many B10 caches as possible to get more votes in. Of course we couldn't only do blitz caches, there probably won't be enough to do a full day cache machine(but you never know). I am still willing to help! Coonskin Hat
