The best caching and park exploring has been with my grandfather. Together we hiked, laughed, and explored so many BC parks. During this time my grandfather taught me about wildlife, vegetation, and how to find a cleverly hidden geocache. Given the fact that he wasn't in the best of health a few years ago, and now with a new pace maker geocaching has brought him outdoors, he has even purchased a mountain bike to travel to the geocaches. Reducing his carbon foot-print, and even he is much lighter with all the excersise. I strive to achieve, and to be more like him, to see and explore my surroundings and remembering not to take our BC parks for granted. Our most notible find together was in a park neither of us has been to before. Summit park was fun to explore with all the wild flowers GC1MP7Y. Another great memory was in Thetis Lake Park we found Black bear GC1N5D3 this is one of the times when we took my grandma with us. The views and trails were impressive, I think she may have even had fun. Especially since she's the one that found the cache. We are now more thoughtful of our parks, as geocaching has opened our eyes to the beauty that BC has and all the steps we must take to protect not only our caches but our parks and our environment, the memories with my grandparents are priceless.
