It took a lot of thought for us to decide on an Avatar...but here he is finally.
That's Flyer, aka: Flysguy or Monkees Frequent Flyer. Monkees was my Kennel name when I bred Keeshonden. Breeding dogs carries too much weight if you are being responsible...so, Flyer was out of the last litter I caused to be bred. He was the best buddy...and a character. He was also a Canadian Champion in the Conformation Show Ring. His patience with us and sense of humor will be remembered always.

CND CH Monkees Frquent Flyer is a Keeshond...aka Dutch Barge Dog. Keesonden(plural of Keeshond) are one of the breeds never bred for Blood Sports...hunting, attacking, etc. There are purely a companion dog but therein lies the secret...they need to be included in whatever their owners do.
A bored Keeshond(keesie) is big trouble! lol
Grooming can be a challenge...that's a LOT of coat to comb and they 'drop' coat or shed at least twice a year...or just after you enter them in a dog show.

Flyer would have made a wonderful Geodog!
