This past weekend, geocachers on Vancouver Island hid their caches for the Fifth Annual Vancouver Island Hide-and-Go-Cache. Open to geocachers from one end of Vancouver Island to the other, this popular event is organized by VIGPS.com
The Hide-and-Go-Cache starts with a weekend of hiding. Followed by a rush of Go and Get'em. This year's theme is "Five/Alive: Wild and Woolly Caching" in keeping with tradition that the theme reflects the fact that this is year five for the Hide-and-Go. As always, the emphasis is on quality caches. Lots and lots of people participated and hid over 125 caches!
Cachers are now out trying to log as many finds as possible while they are still being released... The wrap-up event takes place in April. Cachers that hid a Hide-and-Go cache will receive one of the coveted engraved mugs.
