I thought I had posted this in here before several years ago, but alas, I don't see it here. Guess I should look in here more often. But this is a fantastic cache just off the road to Peter Hope lake past Merrit on the old highway. It takes you into an area where a number of old mines were and a lot of old equipment is still left on this mountain. It says it's a regular cache but it is a bit of a multi with a great clue and treasure map in the first stage that takes you on a walk through this typical pine forest and to an ingenious hide. It's a hat trading cache so take an extra cap with you.

That looks like a fun cache. Is it accessible by car?

It's a bit steep but yes it can be accessed by car. We drove up to the first stage and then walked up the hill the rest of the way, but back then I think you could have driven up there as well. It's a narrow road if memory serves, but I see that they have been up there to fill in the mines since I was there so they might have a better road now.

I did this cache in April. You can drive in any type of vehicle to the starting point and then walk into the cache area. This cache is listed as my favorite too. there are also several others in the area, most of which involve some driving on good backroads.
