I have been trying to run a pocket query yesterday and this morning, but they are not being returned. When I check my pocket query list they say they have never been run, and the day is still marked with a check mark. Is any one else having trouble? I wanted to cache this weekend and now I can't. Crying or Very sad

It seems to be a never ending problem; check out the gc.com forums; there are numerous posts from people who are in the same boat. There are some solutions and work-arounds offered,

I agree that the return of pocket queries is getting slower. I used to get the query back in my e-mail almost as fast as I can log out of GC.com and log into my e-mail. Now it takes much longer, even having to log off the computer and come back some time later. Right now I can't be bothered to review the forums in GC.com but time might force me to do so.

One thing I did do, quite by accident, was to build another pocket query, upload it and then request to run that query. Lo and behold, it ran before some of my other requested ones did.

I believe that if you have run a query in the last few days, your new one will take precedent over any previous run queries and you will get the new one sooner.

I received 1 of 3 on Friday. I checked before we left to Trail early Saturday morning and still not the other two. I didn't have any caches for when we turned off of Highway 3. I was able to get them Saturday night and the weekend was saved. This isn't the 1st time I've had limited PQs for a trip. Oh well Life I guess.

If we're leaving town to go for a weekend trip that involves caching, I will run our PQ's starting on Tuesday or Wednesday just to be sure they are all correct and I have time to deal with them if they're not. I do a lot of route queries for our road trips, and occasionally I get wonky results... its user error of course Embarassed , but a couple of days gives me time to sort it out.

I sometimes do a quick check on Thursday night in the area we're going and add any 'new' ones that may have come up the past couple of days. We managed a FTF in Utah last summer - 4 days after it was published. That's almost unheard of around here!

Count me among those that are having trouble with the PQ's. I have 5 I should have received Thursday - got 2. Got none of Fridays - they don't even show as being sent. I did a Finds query which shows as being sent at 3 this afternoon - nada for reception.

Checked with Shaw - like that will be helpful - and they say my account is working fine and it must be on the senders end.

Guess Groundspeak is going to have to upgrade the servers soon.

I'm thinking you're havving issues "creating a new query" and getting that to work - I had the same - but if you alter a previously created query it likely will send as expected.

It's not liking the higher "generation numbers" I'm thinking.

remember they sit in a que and generate during the day according to their numbers - so if you're trying to create one friday night and it has number XXX,XXX - it will be the last one geneterated - so if 30,000 people are generating querries for the same day -

Or they could be having SQL issues and broke something in an upgrade.. lol.. not enough regression testing on newly created ones

Anyway the workaround for the issue is (that normally works for me) is to alter an older querry - say the first one you created to be what you want and see if that generates.

Correction - it's the technical issues - geocache.com is having problems with Thunderbird (their server or something) and they're working on is PDQ - they've got a thread on the issue going on..

Well - that's something at least. They were nice enough to send me one twice at least. Now if I only want to go to the Upper Fraser Valley - I'm set.

I sent a regular message to myself from Geocaching.com and it took 23 hr 52 minutes to get. Must have Canada Post running it this week.
