The date isn't the important thing, it's great he got to 600. And to boot it was in great location. Way to go!

My only problem is that I'm racking up caches left right and centre. I'm presently 14 poems down, with more to go today!

One cache I must recommend is "Slain Queen's Cave", along the road to Hana. Simply awesome, swimming through a freshwater lava cave to find a cache within it.

Congrats Koakai.
I wish I could do some caching in Hawaii, I hear they have some very nice caches out there.

I wish I had been into caching when I was in Maui. I camped at Wainapanapa State Park and went into that cave more than once while I was there. Beautiful area, and a really interesting "folk lore" to do with the cave.

”At Waianapanapa, there is a pool that seasonally turns blood red. Scientists claim the phenomenon is caused by the appearance of thousands of tiny red shrimp. The Hawaiians offer another love story. Kaakea, one of Hana’s many notoriously cruel chiefs, was jealous of the affection he thought existed between his wife and her brother. Afraid of her husband, the wife ran away and hid in a cave. When Kaakea found her hiding place by sighting her reflection in a pool at the cave’s entrance, he brutally murdered her. The pool turned bright red with her blood, as it does once a year to this day.”
