What is it: Its a Online Meet

When: February 24 2008 at 6:30 PM

Where: On MSN

How: Add PGCachers @ live.com to your friends or contact list on your Messenger. Then on the above date you will see PGCachers come on line. When you do start a conversation with them. PGCachers will then have you join the group discussion.

The Group discussion will continue as long as people want to chat. After the event we will be putting a forum up for people to give feedback on the event.

It's an interesting idea, but might get unwieldy depending how many people you get. Another approach would be to use a Meebo room (http://wwwe.meebo.com/rooms/about/). The organizer will require a Meebo account, but participants can just click a web link, or you can embed the room on a web site and have people chat via that. Just a thought.

Due to upgrades we now have a chat application that we have applied to the PG Cachers web site. We no longer need to use MSN. If you look on the left side of the web page you will see one of the banner adds. Just underneath it you will find the Flash Chat Link. Click the link to get to the sign in screen. Enter your caching name (no password necessary). This will bring you to the Chat Lounge. Here you can connect with other cachers, have private chats or go to or create chat rooms.

The Group discussion will continue as long as people want to chat. After the event we will be putting a forum up for people to give feedback on the event.

Alternately you can click on the following link to get there:

pgcachers.ca/chat/flashchat.php

Thanks to Aerodog for his suggestion and PBA for putting this together at the last minute.

Anyone is welcome. As far as GC.com listing no. I'm not sure they would approve it. This technically would be a locationless meet and greet. No log to sign, no physical cache or location to find. It would be an interesting question to put to GC though to see there response.
