We have not received any email notifications from Groundspeak since last Friday. This seems to be a problem with Shaw/Groundspeak. I know of a few Shaw customers not getting them. Is anyone elese not getting their notifications?

Shaw says it is a Groundspeak problem and Groundspeak doesn't answer emails but their usual response in the forums that the problem is caused by the receiving ISP.

We use telus and have received our emails, so maybe shaw is blocking them. I know they have had problems with yahoo and gmail throttling the emails.

There are people complaining about it on the Calgary forums as well:

I use SHAW too, and haven't got anything for a while, and I have noticed that when I do get a notification, it is usually later than everybody else. I generally get notifications from BCGA about new caches a long time before they come from Groundspeak. I thought it was just me!

Same problems with Shaw. GeoMail has slowed to a trickle. As usual Shaw blames GC.Com and GC.Com blames Shaw.

We got a new hotmail address, changed to that, and notifications are instant that way.

We have asked Shaw in Calgary to assure that Groundspeak is not being blocked but they have yet to reply. If they reply then back to Groundspeak for their response. Not holding our breath here.

If you create a gmail.com account, your GSAK can pick up pocket queries from it. GSAK does not work with Hotmail as far as I know.

The GSAK documenation does not say it can fetch directy from Hotmail, but it can fetch files directly from GMAIL. If it can fetch from Hotmail, can you post the setting to be used in the set-up of an hotmail account in GSAK?

By working from GSAK I mean the gsak File->Get data via email function.

OK. I see what you mean. I still do it the old fashioned way, d/l the PQ then load to GSAK.

Hopefully the issue will go away soon. Groundspeak has sent all the required info to Shaw to solve the problem and "white list" Groundspeak.

Late last night I got 52 instant notifications (all at once) from Groundspeak spanning a few days. New cache listings, logs of caches, coins and TB's, mail, everything! They'd all been held up somewhere then suddenly flooded my in-box!
We are on Shaw...

Ours all came in at 11:49 pm last night. Now to check the headers to see where the hold up was.

OK, I'm on Telus and as of Saturday, 0 e-mails from groundspeak. And I know there have been logs on caches I watch, along with caches and Coins/TBs I own. Anyone else?
