Putting together the banners, I was snooping around the Internet looking for Ghost towns, and came across 'The Valley of the Ghosts'.

This area is on Hi-way 31a, between New Denver and Kaslo.

It has the remains of several old towns, hailing form the days of mining. Be really neat trip to see some of these old places and explore.

Bradian is a day trip from Vancouver, up past Pemberton.

Kitsault is an entire ‘modern’ town abandoned after only a year and a half of existence as the mine it supported was not viable.

Ooooh. I mapped out a geocaching route to the Valley of the Ghosts. The unfortunate thing is the caches don't look "park and grab." Tent trailers are for woosies. Real men camp out under the stars -- with whiskey and bear spray.

Geocaching and ghost towns go well together.

Are you just jealous because no one ever takes you camping in a tent trailer Scruff? I am a tent person but would gladly use a tent trailer. And if CB wants a road trip with no tent trailers, we could always pack the skunk along in the other trailer, the one with no windows.

I'm actually pretty keen on seeing some of these places. An extra long weekend come late spring maybe?

I'm in. It seems that the highway going to all these places is short. It's just a matter of getting there. I wanna see Cody. Sandon too. Any caches nearby??? **wink**
