For anyone that is interested in the Lower mainland. Scruffster will be hosting a little pub afternoon event on:

Sunday February 25th between 3:00 and 5:00 PM.

It'll be at the Mountain Shadow Pub in North Burnaby. It's a cool little place that offers a nice menu. Since it will be held in a drinking establishment, children will not be allowed.

The BCGA should be able to personally hand out coins for members who want them. Come in, grab a Pint (or pop) and get your BCGA coins.

Scruffster.

and of course there are dozens of caches not too far away. Good time to start the fabulous SSIM series if you haven't done it.

No no no it is the other way around. You're buying the skunk drinks and the last one there gets to pour the skunk into a cab. **teehee**

Oh come on Scruffy, you live close. We'll waypoint your house on your GPS, and give you a shove in the general direction!

Wow, I didn't expect such a huge turnout. It's amazing what a bit of beer can do to make geocachers rowdy. I fear some newbies were corrupted early in their caching career.

So, is anyone up for another pub crawl? Next time I will try to make it on a Saturday night along the skytrain route so people can have a safe way home if they choose to linger longer. Does anyone know of a good pub in the New Westminster area?

Yep, defintely! Nothing more fun than getting really really drunk and then going night caching!! Just kidding Laughing

Sounds good Scruff, I like the idea of choosing a pub on a transit route just in case we stay a little bit too long. Play safe, be safe....

Is it just me or do cachers like to get to together for any old reason. Who knew so many would show up to get the skunk drunk. Think how many if we have a kick the skunk event.

Actually, I was thinking of something along the very same lines. I was going to ask if anyone would be interested in a dunk tank. Yep, Dunk the Skunk. How much do you think the average local geocacher would pay for a chance to throw a ball at a target to dunk the skunk??? There may be a few people willing to empty their bank account for it.

But we will have to leave that until after we build the big catapult and see who can launch Jeff the farthest. **teehee**

I would certainly pay two of my geocoins (which on ebay go for around $69.69).
