Hi, well Suepy (my wife) and I were out this morning looking for a cache. We didn't find it! double darn LOL. Well we are relative newbies at this, having found about 60 or so- easy ones!
One thing I've noticed is the huge amount of garbage that's strewn about the woods. I found a pail and filled it up, I could have filled it three times over. What I couldn't bring out was 2 flourescent tubes, and several parts of a kitchen. I would have but we couldn't legally park close enough with my pickup.
It is Crypsis Maximus, just off of David Ave. in Coquitlam. It's frustrating because I live within 2/10ths of a mile, but we cannot park anywhere near this.
We also found an office chair at GC11AQV.

A month or so back we discovered an in-house vacuum motor unit at the corner of (close to) Pipeline and David ave's, "GC1GRGG" it's just too darn big for one guy to haul out, and again- where to legally park while doing this? and how to dispose?

I guess my question here is how does a geocacher CITO large garbage items? is there a city policy? geocaching rules? I'd like to do what I can but I don't want a parking fine, or pay huge fees at the recycling center.

Regards

MrMac204.

Good question! There not geocaching policies other than CITO what you are willing and able any time you are out. The only thing I can suggest is for you to contact the City of Coquitlam Engineering Department for reporting and advice. The law abiding citizen worries about illegal parking while illegal dumpers apparently do not.

Good on you for doing the best you can out there.

If you find any large or hazardous items such as used needles, fluorescent tubes, etc in a Coquitlam park or urban forested area (excluding Minnekhada and Colony Farms which are regional parks), you can call 604-927-6300 and a Parks crew will be dispatched to remove the items if possible. The guy who answers the phone on most occasions is a friend of mine so you can tell him JeepGurl says "hi!".

thank you! I will phone that #.

I'm staying home this A.M. been several hours trying to break the code on "a little computer music" so I'm p*#### off. grrrrr . gonna put some crown moulding in the basement to work off my frustration!

Suepy and Jenny the wonder dog are going over to the park to do a blind search on that one. We logic'ed our way sorta close, but darned if we can figure it out.

Maybe some night vision goggles and a photon ray gun will make it stand out.
