We are sad to announce the passing of Ginger Houser (Rallymaster) after a short battle with cancer.

A former BCGA president Scruffster posted the following on facebook which can't be improved upon:

British Columbia's Geocaching community lost a respected and well-loved member this week. Ginger Houser, known in geocaching circles as Rallymaster, passed away after a short battle with cancer. Ginger was on the British Columbia Geocaching Association board of directors during the 2010 season and was instrumental in helping form a positive working relationship between the geocaching community and various land owners: an act that resulted in the freedoms geocachers of British Columbia experience today.

Many of Ginger's geocaching adventures were shared with a fun-loving geocaching group known as The Wildthingies. No doubt they are feeling that a piece of their collective soul has been ripped from them and my heartfelt condolences go out to each and every member of the Wildthingies. I grieve with you.

Ginger may no longer be with us but the positive influence she had on the geocaching community will be with us forever.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Ginger's family, friends and especially her caching family The Wildthingy's.

This is sad news. My condolences to Ginger's family and her geocaching family. She was well liked and as Scruffster said helped contribute much to our geocaching community.

I know she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Still in shock, processing that I will never have a laugh-fest with Ginger again. We shared the same warped humour.
She was a great lady and all that knew her were fortunate.
Hugs and condolences to her family and friends.
Will never forget her... great memories.
