Swans of Lonesome Lake: [?] . You might remember a book called "The Caruso of Lonesome Lake" where Ralph Edwards saved the BC Trumpeter swans from extinction from the 1920's to the 1950s. It was almost required reading for our generation in elementry school in the 70s. Edwards cabin burnt down in the BC fires of 2004. [M | C]

I've read the policies for geocaching in the city of Surrey, and for Metro Vancouver and B.C. Parks, but I'm wondering if any of the other Lower Mainland municipalities have developed similar policies. It would be helpful to know who to contact for permission to place caches in municipal parks.

I would say most municipalities are aware of Geocaching but don't have official policies - and I think we should keep it that way. As a group we need to self regulate rather than have a bureaucracy do it for us.
