Thanks to for the local reps who hosted the Wrap events and handed out prizes. I spent a portion of today reading the logs from the people who attended the events throughout the province. Thanks also to the great companies who support the Blitz through their website ads - be kind and support them back!

Thank you to:

Fraser Valley - Agassiz Angel
Kootenay/Rockies - bajabetty
Lower Mainland - OK, me but thanks to AlCoGo for his help
Northern BC - plumbrokeacres
Thompson/Okanagan - Fonty Family
Vancouver Island Central/North - The_Pollywog
Vancouver Island South - AnnieMaroo

Our event was awesome! Thank you Katcogo for the mirth and merriment. Wink Congrats to the winners. I have so many more caches to find now in BC. Smile (History has repeated itself though, with the BCGA awarding a winners prize to a geocache that breaks Groundspeaks rules. Oops.)

Time to go play outside!

We are not aware of any winning cache that Groundspeak disabled as being against the guidelines. The BCGA cannot review every Blitz cache - that is the responsibility of Groundspeak. As we have stated before, geocaching is largely self-policing, reviewers can not see how a cache is placed (any more than the BCGA can), they rely on the geocachers in the field to report questionable hides to the reviewers.

We can't withhold a prize if the cache owner has not been made aware of a problem and given an opportunity to correct it.
