It is not in Port Alberni. I am not sure of all the various locations but it is throughout Canada. Similar to past Canadian Parks Projects.

We are excited to be helping out with the "GeoFreakZ Geotrails" program. We are hosting a launch event on Saturday May 19th "inside" the Fort Langley National Historic Site. coord.info/GC3G4YQ
Magellan has donated a brand new eXplorist GPS for us to give away to one lucky draw winner Smile

It is also "May Days" weekend in Fort Langley, so there will be lots of activities to participate in for "kids" of all ages.

Soooo, if you are staying in town for the long weekend it would be great to see you there!!! Coonskin Hat Coonskin Hat

Prize Draw

We have just received 2 really nice looking Geofreakz GeoTrails T-shirts and thought they would make a great prize for finders of the Pacific Rim caches. The project starts on May 19 and those of you who find and log them by June 19 will be put in a draw for the chance to win one of them. If you find all five caches, your name will go in 5 times. We will draw 2 names and email the winners.

Don't forget that the Geofreakz Parks Canada GeoTrails Program runs from May 19 until October 13. Come on out and enjoy!

Hi Nenners,

Visit this page:

geofreakz.com/beta/parksE.html

and print out your passport before leaving. If you do not own a gps please check in at the Visitors Centre to sign out a free Magellan explorist gc. Geocaches will be released tomorrow, May 19th so if do not own a gps you will have to print out the cache pages as they are released and manually enter the information when you pick up your Magellan. I understand that the Visitors Centre will be eduacated in their use and can help you if needed. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask and I will help in anyway I can.

This might be a dumb question, but are adults without kids welcome to attend the event on Saturday, or is this really a kids event? Thanks!

The GeoFreakz Geotrails is for everyone. In my opinion they have geared it toward families but the organizers have been clear that it is open to all...cachers and non-cachers, children and adults, families and those without kids. C'mon out and enjoy!
