To all the men and women who gave up their lives to make sure I could live free from tyranny...you have my eternal gratitude...thank you!
To all the men and women who continue to put their lives on the line so that I have freedom...I cannot thank you enough!

My father fought in the 2nd World War as a Gunner but he would never talk about what he did during his time with the Princess Pat's...'Patricia's'. Well, he did say one thing once. "It was bloody awful and don't ask me again."
As a child I often wondered why my father had those short fingers on one hand. Hand jammed in a gun while firing...for my freedom...thanks Dad and thanks to all!!!!

Oh...and I also ment to say that Dad never, never, never, never, never, allowed Mutton to be cooked in our Winnipeg home. I remember suggesting to him one time that perhaps we could have Lamb for a family BBQ. My strong and mostly silent father looked me in the eye, raised his substantial eyebrows and that was the end of that BBQ suggestion.
