I received a call this afternoon from the Gentleman that will be handing my questions to the Minister of Transport. He has been appointed by the Minister's Office to deal with my questions.

AS I ahve said in the past I did make mention I do not speak for the BCGA.

It would appear that the best news we could hope will likely come about. It is just a matter of putting it down on paper and getting it signed.

The General thought is that pull-offs and Rest Areas and look-outs will be acceptable.

It is hoped that a mechanism be in place to have questionable caches reviewed and then approved.

The real no no in this will be caches that have cars parked on the shoulder or caches on guard rails.

Hope this helps but I think an answer to the whole Province of BC is coming.

Phil

There are many who appreciate the work you have done on this issue Phil, You have been able to establish a relationship with the very person who has been appointed to formulate some sort of Geocaching policy within the MOT, well done.

While accomplishing this work you have managed to keep us informed, I hope the membership now realizes this can be done while the work is going on in the background. We all appreciate being kept appraised of the status of these types of concerns. Silence is not always golden.
