Hey everyone. Since the original triad is now (more or less) a thing of the past; i've read in some of the forums from groundspeak suggesting people of different areas create their OWN triad.

I'm sure the BCGA could come up with one for us yes?
perhaps starting with TREEHUGGER ?

Looks like the wheels are in motion to put in place a tribute cache, check out this groundspeak forum thread:

I think I'd still recommend a visit to the area. We completed the Triad in May 2 weeks before it went missing, and there are some other great and historical caches in the area. I wouldn't also mind returning one day to actually do the walk through the 'Tunnel of Light' that has been closed for the last year and a half!

Looks like WSGA Going APE...All Over Again Event will be extra special with a tribute cache being placed to keep the spirit alive. Especially since it will contain all sorts of cool donated Planet of the Apes swag, matching container and painted to match, etc.

Regards,

It will just be that a Tribute cache.... I have a tribute Ape cache myself. You will not get the ape cache icon and it will not be considered part of the triad. Still will be a good cache and a nice thought.
