I'm wondering if the direction from home and the cache owner of the new cache can be included in the cache notifications from BCGA. On the Sunshine Coast where we are, notifications of caches to the west and south-west mean they are on Vancouver Island, even though they are sometimes only 30 km away. We get all excited about a new cache and then find out we have to mortgage the house to take a couple of ferries to get to it. I guess cachers on the inner coast of the island would have this same problem for caches to the east of them.

Thanks for your consideration.

Not sure if that is possible so I will let Henry perhaps comment. I know how you feel though as I live right near the border in Abbotsford and get notifications about caches in the US however do not have a passport yet to travel across and get them.

It takes anywhere from an hour to 5 hrs to cross the border so I think any FTF's there may be out of the question!!! Smack

Actually back when we didn't need a passport I used to chase FTF's all the time. Our border in Abbotsford can be very quick to cross at times and I even managed a few FTF's back in the day. The border guards mostly all knew exactly what I meant when I said i'm going Geocaching and a select few late night guards even knew what I meant by I'm in a hurry cause i'm chasing an FTF Wink

Puts a whole new meaning on "Making a run for the border!!"
