Swans of Lonesome Lake
Swans of Lonesome Lake:  [?] . You might remember a book called "The Caruso of Lonesome Lake" where Ralph Edwards saved the BC Trumpeter swans from extinction from the 1920's to the 1950s. It was almost required reading for our generation in elementry school in the 70s. Edwards cabin burnt down in the BC fires of 2004. [M | C

A huge hats off and thank you to the BCGA for the lending of the GPS units to allow me to take 20 kids out into the Burnaby Park with flashlights to search for hidden treasures Last Monday night.

With 20 young ones in tow, Scruff, I & 2 turtlekidlets ventured out in the snow to teacher them curious young minds about caching.

Over all it was a great success and Scruff was even questioned about the best Cache he got - and he got to talk about an airplane!

He surived and so did my kids after herding the kids around the park..

Thank you fo the loan!

They're going back with new batteries & box of new Tupperware & Memo Pads to be lent out in the future for those teaching Caching 101 in the future.
