The BC Societies Act requires an annual validation of the members belonging to a society. All memberships expire at the end of the calendar year. However, the BCGA has done its best to make it easy for all members to validate their membership.
Members will notice a block requesting they OK the information provided or change any information to keep all personal info updated. This information is not visible to the public. It is only visible by the account holder and the BCGA administration.
Members who fail to validate their memberships will lose their membership benefits, including the ability to vote on business at the upcoming AGM on January 15, 2011. Any member that fails to validate their membership before December 31, 2010 will need to fill out a new membership application.
Please take the time to update or add any changes to the information listed and you will be automatically renewed for another year. full article
