I am planning to place a cache in the Pacific Spirit Park and I am wondering if the MVP has come up with geocaching policy yet.

Do I still need to email MVP and ask permission re: cache placement?

Thanks!

As far as I know the MVP caching guidelines have not yet been released. They are expected to be very similar to the BC Parks Guidelines that are available on this website under the Policies & Guidelines link. At the moment you only need permission from MVP if you are placing an Earthcache as that is a requirement of the Earthcache program.

Thank you for finding out ahead of time what the requirements are for placing a cache. Also, thank you for having a good number of caches under your belt before placing your first cache. Well done on your first 100!

Thank you katcogo! Ever since I started caching in April of this year, I've decided that I will place a cache once i reached a mark where I am comfortable and have more or less enough experience and time to decide on a really interesting and well thought of cache and not placing cache just for the sake of having one under my belt.
