Remember that this game is ONE LINE. All you have to do is fill in one line horizontally, diagonally, or vertically. Of course, the people that complete all the tasks as they come up will have a better chance to win.

There will be only one winner this time around. This first game is more of a test of the system than anything. Hopefully everything will work flawlessly.

CanadianBacon worked his behind off on the program and didn't complain once. We all owe him a lot of thanks.

Nope. Anyone can get a card at any time after the game starts. Your card will automatically show all the previous draws and if your card has matches you'll see them.

In some ways, entering the game late might cause less stress since your card may be half filled and you can go out in one day to complete the tasks, if they're easy.

All those draws and I have just one green square!

I entered the GC number and a note and got an error, so I went back and entered the GC only and it was fine.

Thank you for this great game to add to our morning cache/walk - the Canine LS sends barks and wags Dog Detective .

Thanks. I'll look at the notes. What text did you enter? Did it have any special characters, quotes etc?

I have to ask...

How are you all doing the 'discover a BCGA coin' not owned by you? Are you calling up a fellow BCGA member and saying 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours" Laughing ! or are you looking for a BCGA coin icon on the caches around town and heading over to 'discover' it?

At least they showed each other something they could see without the aid of a microscope. You know how small those tracking numbers can be.

It's been less than 24 hours and over 40 people have grabbed a BINGO card. Several people have actually performed a task on the very first day. The feedback has been positive so far and there doesn't appear to be many bugs in the system. **wiping brow**

As mentioned, the first game is just as much of a trial run as a contest. There will be some tweaking involved but I think GeoBingo will work out well.

Can Scruffster write a note to my boss explaining why I am arriving at work much later and far muddier than usual? My card has the multicache and the nearest one (other than my own) is 5 parts in the woods.

I am really, really coveting the 2008 coin as I wasn't caching when they came out last year. If someone has one I could LOOK AT I would be ever so grateful Shifty

I think the whole bingo is a great idea!

Did you get a photo for the 'up to knees in mud' task that will come up eventually. .......

I will as soon as I finish! Only had time for 1st 2 and another nearby cache before guilt sent me to the office. I had only checked BCGA Website just before leaving the house or I would have left earlier!

Hmm . . . a picture of cacher "wearing the elements" may be an interesting task - especially at this time of year.

Yeh, I checked your card to make sure it was not a bug. Wish I could tell you it was, but your are just dealing with the luck of the draw, along with 1/2 dozen others in the same boat. Testing showed it evens out, other draws you will get hits, others will not.

The luck of the draw is why you will never find Mr Jangor in a Bingo Hall, or a Casino for that matter. Now if Mrs J had a card, that might be a different story. LOL.

Hopefully the law of averages will win out and everyone will end up relatively equal with the draws. Remember that not everyone is going to be interested in doing the tasks until they have a line so anyone that actually does the tasks probably has a better chance of the FTFingo.

I just realized. It's all about the FTF in BINGO. **teehee**

Seeing what has already been called.. hmm we do happen to have a cache called "A Cache of Caches" between Maple Rige and Mission that hasn't had a lot of visitors this year..

hint hint.. lol

Awesome idea! looking forward to tackling them this week (if it hasn't been won)

Out of curiosity they all say date of Nov 24th as when they were drawn.. is that intentional?

Mister Wilson -- Have you filled out an application? You are only a member of the BCGA if you've filled out an application. I believe the age is 16 or older.

Jangor -- In this test game, this is what we're trying to figure out. We don't want the contest won in a day and we don't want it dragged out for three months. So the drawings have been random. We started out with 10 drawings at midnight the first day and a few drawings of 1 since that time throughout the day. It might end up being one draw every few hours.

I think I will click the draw button every time I have a martini. Anyone want to drop a bottle of Vodka on my doorstep? **teehee**

two more years I guess Sad
besides, I don't usually cache on weekdays because of school. I had a feeling I wouldn't have won.

RVTraveller is sitting right behind me on her computer with a stack of 2009 unactivated BCGA coins. There is no way she will activate one for me even if I ask cause she's playing BINGO too. Laughing I'm doing it old school and hunting for one in a cache that I haven't found yet.

Mr. Wilson and a Mt. Goat. Keep playing. You may not be able to win the official prize but if you get the BINGO first I'll take coins out of my personal collection and have the BCGA send them to you.

I thought you were much older. Why? Because you behave better than many of the so called adults on these forums.

I'm afraid to ask what elements you mean? lol Would it be like getting soaked in the rain/snow I had on a caching hike on Sunday?

I concur, you demonstrate more maturity than most people your age in your forum posts. I know your age, but every time you post I have to remind myself.

Good news for Mr. Wilson and others. I just received a generous anonymous donation from a big fish for a youth category in the Bingo game. So if anyone playing cannot be a member because of age and wins a BINGO game, there is a prize for you.
