Okay, the cache is basically this one.

First, it seems the coordinates are soft. They're a few meters off, but whatever cuz the hint is good.

[spoiler alert...don't read if you have not done that cache.]

[see below]

[keep going]

The hint leads you to two pipes along the side of the building. There's a security camera and a previous cacher has had security ask them what the heck they were doing.

I assume the geocache hider has permission, but...

I just felt like Spiderman and this spidersense going off. It really feels like I'm a terrorist putting a bomb on the side of a research facility that's close to the hospital.

I decided to ask another geocacher for help so I could find the geocache right away without trying... I didn't want this cache to turn up as a bomb scare.

So question: Is this normal of me? Am I too paranoid? What would you do?

It would appear that that cache is placed quite near to VGH and specifically, on the same property as the BC Cancer Agency. In my opinion, it infringes on the following guideline and should never have been approved.

Caches may be quickly archived if we see the following:
Caches near, on or under public structures deemed potential or possible targets for terrorist attacks. These may include but are not limited to highway bridges, dams, government buildings, elementary and secondary schools, and airports.

So I guess what I'm saying is that you're not paranoid... I'm sure more than a handful of the 226 finders felt the same way, but never expressed it in their logs.

Just my Two Cents

EDIT: Forgot to mention that if a security guard has questioned a previous finder, then you can pretty much assume that the hider did NOT obtain permission to place the cache there.
