The BCGA is pleased to announce a new initiative in partnership with BC Parks and Project Blue Sky. Set for launch in mid/late August, this provincially funded project will see a series of new caches placed across BC. The initiative is all about carbon reduction, as promoted by Project Blue Sky... Here is a little about Project Blue Sky:

Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes have teamed up with the Masters of Digital Media (MDM) students to launch Project Blue Sky. One of the key features of Project Blue Sky is their on-line carbon reduction calculator, where you can log your non-carbon producing activities and challenge your friends to do the same. Hike, bike, bus, or walk to your next geocache and log your activities on-line where your carbon reducing activities will be tallied with other participants in an effort to raise awareness and take steps to fight climate change.

Stay tuned... when we get a launch date set, we'll let you know and keep you in the loop with more information. In the meantime, check out (and log your carbon reduced behaviour) at ProjectBlueSky.ca

Cheers

Have one cache placed, one spot picked out for other, but no details on the template or instructions for the cache page contents. I understand it's out there somewhere. Please share.

I thought the launch was later this month ???
Also if the launch is this later date, those caches that planted caches when they first received them should check them before launch date to make sure they are still there and all is well.
Note: a general note should go to all cache placers through email as not all folks read the forums
