I know some of you guys kayak. What do you use to cover your GPS... My daughter and I are going to do the Broken Group again on Sunday...

My not so waterproof Colorado got fried when a wave came over my kayak the last time I went out... Once Bitten Yada Yada Yada

If you could put a link to what you use, I will pick one up tomorrow

Peregrine007 sealed my GPS in something the night we went kayaking on Saanich Inlet a couple of weeks ago. I don't know what it was, but it worked fine. We weren't in any surf but it did get some mild splashes and I was able to see it and use it inside this sealed 'bag'.

He actually brought a selection of 3 things for me to see what fit/worked best. One of them was a Pelican Case, not sure about the rest, including the one I used. He's around if you want to send him a note. Also, the WestCoastPaddler forum is a great source for paddling info, whether it be sheltered water or off shore. You'll find him there too.

There are a few different "dry bags" out there.

Here is one you might try:

Dry Bag

The expensive option is a Garmin Map76Cx (waterproof and floats when you eventually drop it overboard). That is another story.
