Does anyone has any recent experience of these 4x4 roads:

Lillooet to Seton Portage

We're coming back again - we're tidying loose ends and leaving in the morning.

Where's that ferry emoticon when I need it Snorkel Jester .

The Gold Country caches Cowboy , wineries Medal and beaches are calling to us Camera !

This time it's a mini van (car camping) trip and we're hoping we don't get 'smoked out'. We were going to choose a new destination, but we figure these areas could use the tourists, so we decided to stick to our initial itinerary.

This trip we'll be caching with a Delorme PN-40 to put it through it's paces and see how it handles in Canada. If it works as planned, we'll be finding some caches and leaving some of our 2009 signature items along the way.

Wow, that was a great getaway in the Thompson-Okanagan region! We hooked up with some Kootenay and Okanagan friends to fit in some caching, camping, beach days, wineries and made it home in one piece on the last ferry.

Highlights?
Dave at the Red Rooster Winery,
Sun-Oka Provincial Park beach,
an amazing road to Vinette Lake
finding a 2002 Deadman River/Falls cache with a river crossing - 4m back from the 200' drop into the horseshoe canyon Shocked
and a Min of Forests Rec Site on a lake with our own beach where we camped on our last night and woke up to Loons calling on our last morning Cool .

In case anyone from the Island is interested - our driving time from Merritt to the ferry was well under 4 hours. After getting off the Coquihalla, we decided to skip the #1 from Hope and drove the Lougheed Highway to Mission instead, then Harris Road to 56th Avenue and onto #10 to Ladner.
