As you may know, the BCGA has adopted a portion of Mill Creek, and has commited to maintaining it over the next two years, at least.

Today, I recieved the following invitation from the City of Kelowna, any comments? Are we interested in attending as a group?

Hi all,

We are in the process of planning a 2009 Earth Day event. It will either take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 (actual Earth Day) or Sunday, April 25, 2009. The event will start at 9:00am and finish off at 12:00pm with a pizza lunch. Work will consist of weed removal, tree planting, watering/mulching and some activity games. We would like to target either Central Park (off of North Enterprise) or Chichester Wetland (off of Fitzpatrick). If your school, class, business or group would be interested in participating, please indicate the preferred date, location and the number of possible attendees.

Thanks,
******* *******
City of Kelowna

This event was canceled by the city due to a conflicting program.
