July 15th, 2010
The meeting of the BCGA was called to order at 6:10pm on July 15th, 2010 on Skype
Present: Ted Nash , Ginger Houser, Andrew Toms Tom Furlotte, Kelly Contant, Irene Pickell, Sharon Cross (joined later in the meeting)

The minutes of the last meeting were approved.
C. Open Issues
The mint artwork has been received. A mistake was noted and Andrew will contact Landsharkz about the error. Three or four versions are planned. Andrew will look at different metal combinations. Icon suggested was the compass rose on the back of the coin. Samples will be sent to Andrew. Timeline is 45 days from final approval.
The booth was very well received. We had lots of volunteers and it ran smoothly. BC Parks & Gold Country gave lots of giveaways as well. We received $200 in donations.
Most of the events are listed. Sponsors will be added to the event pages. Medals (Kelly) will be purchased. Prizes (Irene) and certificates (Ginger) will be sent as well. Irene to send an email to remind everyone that voting ends on August 1. Sharon will continue to look for donations of prizes.
The number of caches placed were: Lower Mainland – 135, Fraser Valley – 51, Southern Island – 51, Northern Island – 26, Thompson/Okanagan – 43, Kootenay/Rockies – 29, Northern BC – 21, Total – 356.
There was a motion to purchase 7 Premium Memberships as prizes by Andrew, Kelly seconded. All approved, motion passed.
There was a motion to purchase 63 medals by Ginger, seconded by Sharon. All approved, motion passed.
Metro Vancouver Parks:
Campbell Valley Park went well. Invoice to been sent to MVP for $200 per event plus expenses. Money is owed to Kelly, Sharon, Ted and Anthony Floyd. There will be 3 more events in the fall and we would recommend that they be continued next year.
BC Parks has mentioned to Tom that they may be interested in doing another project next year for their 100th anniversary.
Lots of cachers are playing but there is not as much buzz around the current game. The tasks may be harder. There are no changes planned at this point.
The committee is having trouble getting together. Ginger will continue to try and arrange meetings.
GPSr Rental agreement:
The screen protectors were donated. Ted will pass a rental agreement to all the directors.
There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm by Ted Nash. The next meeting date to be announced.
